About the Thompson Brothers
Jeremy Thompson
Family comes in many different forms and ways. Everyone is special and has many individual traits to discover through life. This medicine game has taught me many life lessons and important values. This sport has been a vehicle for me to create my own unique traits and help me to meet many new people who have become a part of my life circle. Today and into the future is about creating a positive vibe for myself and the people around me and this great game that we all love. This medicine game is a direct correlation to everything around me and I am truly thankful for it all.
The Spirit of lacrosse wants to bring its original teachings to help change our world for the better. We believe sharing the values of the Medicine Game can truly make a difference. My brothers and I started 4 The Future Foundation to support and pass on all the gifts of lacrosse that we have received.

The most important thing I want to accomplish with 4 The Future Foundation is to help bring the game of lacrosse to people. I want to show them the healing it can bring. We all know it has a physical ability to bring healing, but we also want to incorporate the spiritual healing. I think lacrosse separates itself from all other sports because it’s a traditional Native American Game that was given to us as a Medicine Game. I know it comes with many positive teachings to us all. Our elders tell us that lacrosse is our gift to share with the world.
For as long as I can remember, lacrosse has always been there for me. I’ve always had people to look up to, and help me become the person, and lacrosse player, I am today. I feel very lucky to have grown up with 3 brothers who’ve helped push one another to succeed in life, and I want to be there, pushing our next generation to be the best that they can be.

The mission of the foundation is important to me because I can relate to the kids we’re going to help. I want to pass my experiences down and support them to follow the path of today’s good leaders. I know everyone has different dreams, but I want to encourage today’s youth to chase their dreams and learn to become great leaders in the process.
One of the most important things I want to accomplish with 4 the Future Foundation is to change at least one person’s life for the better, and in turn they will want to have a positive impact.
My brothers and I want to continue to show people that lacrosse and sports can always have a positive influence on one’s life, physically, mentally, and spiritually. And there is no better game to teach them that than our medicine game.

I think it’s important to continue to focus on living an active and healthy lifestyle. We want to be examples of this, especially for our youth and the circumstances they often find themselves up against. Ultimately our goal is to be a positive influence and help contribute to the overall growth of the individual. We hope to inspire our youth in such a way that it will affect the whole community. I know that it might not happen today, or this year, but hopefully in the long run.
One day we will be able to look back and say that we have helped shape our youth to become good future leaders of our communities. That will be a happy day for me.
I know that one good leader can create a domino effect, an effect that will multiply.
4 The Future Foundation is going to use every tool we can to encourage our youth to accomplish their dreams. Sports will definitely be one of those tools. Sports has been a way of bringing our communities together, and our plan is to continue to utilize sports to build character, leadership, and good community members.
My brothers and our team want to be a bridge for underserved communities to call on.
I want to feel like I’m giving back to communities and helping today’s youth through athletics, education and inner growth. My hope is that I can contribute something of value to marginalized communities, moving us together to build a better world.
